The Podcast

What is GeekShock?  What is a podcast?  Why are clouds?  Where are my shoes?  We may never know the answer to these questions.  But we’ll give it a try.

GeekShock is the greatest podcast on this planet (and its moon).  Its been going since like 2008.  We bring you the week in geek, including news you don’t give a shit about, the latest geek news, what geeky things we’ve been doing, and playing stupid games.  If it’s movies, tv, board game, video games, roleplaying games, or high weirdness, we’ve probably talked about it.

Hosts Master Torgo, 80s Jeff, Kommander K, Fact Check Andy, Maple Leaf Matt, Vlarg, and Deb discuss geek stuff and berate each other.  What makes the podcast special is that each of our hosts has a mountain of geek cred.

The Ugly Couch Show was a half-hour video show we used to do weekly, where we told you what to watch, what to read, what to play, and we all brought one or two things we enjoyed.  We had plenty of guests, interviewed lots of celebrities at Comic-Con, and it was a great time.  Unfortunately, it was a lot of work for little payoff, and became untenable.  The podcast (at that time called the CouchCast), was far easier to arrange and work on, and so it quickly outshined the video show, which was put to the side.  The podcast, now called GeekShock, has been going in its current form ever since, with a few lineup changes over time.
